Dear Neighbors,

First, I would like to thank all of my supporters, friends, family and colleagues for your votes, prayers, contributions and strong support in my last election. Today, I am asking for your support again as I prepare to run for Cobb County State Court Traffic Judge, Division II, Post 2 in July 2012. This seat is currently held by Judge Roland Castellanos who is planning to resign. In 2010, I ran a hard-fought race in the General Election for the seat in Post I where I came out on top with 42 percent of the vote, but did not prevail in the run-off.

If elected I will be the judge who will follow the law and understands the needs of our growing community. I have the experience, leadership and integrity to be the kind of judge Cobb County demands: one who will remain impartial, follow the law, apply the Constitution of the United States and Georgia, and treat citizens with courtesy, dignity and respect. As a former Cobb County Prosecutor, I had the opportunity to observe many characteristics involving law and justice as it relates to Cobb County’s diverse and changing population. Furthermore, as a part- time judge for the State Court of Cobb County, I have run an efficient, streamlined courtroom while conducting arraignments, bench trials, pleas and probation revocation hearings.

Cobb County is my home! I love the people, the history and the lifestyle. I instantly knew this is where I wanted to live, work and raise my family the first time I visited Marietta Square. Currently, I am a practicing attorney for more than 18 years, a small business owner of my own law firm, a wife, a mother, and an active church member in this county. I have the same public safety and quality of life issues that you have for your family.

Again, thank you and let’s move Cobb County forward together as you vote for me in July 2012 as your next State Court Traffic Judge!

Sincerely,
Angela Brown.
